First Meet Tomorrow
Hello, CROCS!
Tomorrow is our first meet of the season! We are swimming at home versus Piedmont Bend. All swimmers must be at the pool ready to warm up by 5pm. We have a Luau Theme this week, so bring your leis and grass skirts!! Swimmers will receive their events in the morning at practice, so it's important that you are there. Also, all swimmers need to take it easy tomorrow afternoon so that they are well rested for the meet.
If you drive down to the meet, note that there will be reserved parking in our lot for visiting coaches, coordinators, refs, and the lifeguard. Parking is always available along Davis Rd, Running Cedar, Chestnut Creek Dr, and Staghorn. Please note the signs and only park on one side of the street.
I am attaching a list of volunteers based on the sign up genius. I have had to make several changes due to the number of spots we still have remaining. Jeannine Brock, our Volunteer Coordinator, is out of town this week, so Tricia Wilhelm has graciously stepped in and will be your go to person tomorrow night. She will also be doing all of the running, as I had to move the runners to other positions. We cannot run a meet without Timers and Place Judges, and you'll see that we still have some empty slots. If you have signed up for your three meets and this week is not one of them, please shoot me an email and help us tomorrow. I cannot stress enough the importance of volunteering and how important it is for the meet.
Our Concessions ladies, Lauren Joachim and Shannon Herring, have been hard at work and are organizing a great menu for tomorrow! We will have our regular Chick Fil A and pizza, and Jeff Statia will be doing pulled pork again this year. Thanks to everyone who is baking and bringing us yummy treats. All concessions benefit the Swim Team!!
Team tshirts have been ordered but will probably not make it in time for tomorrow (that's on me and I apologize). You may wear your shirt from last year, and I'll see if I have any extra for our new swimmers. I'll bring what I have to practice tomorrow morning.
Please let me know if you have any questions about the meet tomorrow! It should be very exciting!
Thanks,
Leah
